Ever since Big Brother Africa season 6, Lomwe never came back to settle in Malawi. Over the years, his local fans have been wondering of his whereabouts. Where's is Lomwe?
Lomwe resides in the suburbs of Johannesburg, South Africa. He describes the country as the Capital of Africa and decided to rebrand himself to further his media career and detached himself from the local industry.
As a hip hop act, Lomwe decided to take a break in music and had to reflect and come with a well strategic approach in the international industry and described his plans as 'Vision 2020'. Before 2019 ends, King Lomwe has made up his mind to release all the material he has entirely worked on over the past decades. "I would like people to see 2020 Lomwe as a start of the future and 2019 as the end." said Lomwe in an interview with Urban Malawi.
Inquisitive about how he sees the Malawian music in as much as its presence internationally, Lomwe thinks most Malawian artists are stuck because they value downloads as a rating of their musical success instead of focusing what's outside the box. "I can tell you that, if I didn't know the whole industry when I left, I'd have only known Nepman and Lawi because they have international links." said Lomwe.
Does he really listen to Malawian Hip Hop music? Lo says he follows trends and always keep an ear to the street, in every region as he was once a Radio Dj. Lo thinks he'd do a record with Martse when he comes back home as he sees the kid talented.
Lomwe sees the future of Malawi Music as bright as he will invest in the industry in the near future, and says he looks up to Jay-Z and Diddy when it comes to music business.
